Zulu Design | Introducing the Birmingham Drug & Alcohol Action Team

The Birmingham Drug & Alcohol Action Team (BDAAT) exists to reduce the harm caused by drugs and alcohol in order to improve well-being. BDAAT ensures that the work of local agencies is brought together effectively and that cross-agency projects are coordinated successfully. It’s main delivery services are within Treatment, Young People, Communities and Availability.

BDAAT asked Zulu to design the brochure that communicated this to both the local authority groups and the wider public. The brochure needed to work in synergy with the designs that Zulu had created for the BDAAT website. The brochure is designed to give a modern trendy and very non-corporate feel utilising grungy, vibrant designs based on each sections key theme, such as Alcohol treatment Services. The bold print and design clearly separates the partnership from other local PCT authorities. Its fresh approach engages with a younger target audience and also establishes itself as a ‘stand-out initiative’ when compared with other public sector bodies.
