Has Google got too much time on its hands?

Written by on 22 June 2010

As a generation which spends a lot of time online, most of us are well aware of what Google is capable of. For some, the word 'Google' will evoke references of a search engine, whilst others may be a little more knowledgeable about other aspects of the company.

What many of you may not know however, is that Google has a number of aspiring artists within it's ranks...with big ambitions!

A bunch of Googlers from the UK office managed to get hold of a huge wall, onto which they arranged 884 high quality photographs, which had been taken of places around the UK. The aim of the project was to create a huge mosaic of the new Google logo.

Pretty impressive, don't you think?

Hi,
They are employees of the Google Office in London, the artist who set the project up is called Clay Bavor, you can find more out about the project here http://www.claybavor.com/projects/google-mosaic
If you'd like more inspiration have a look at our ads of the week, they are themed each week, last week was fridge Magnets: http://www.zulucreative.co.uk/blog/18/03/2011/chillout
